Mike & all the team at The Yorkshire Maintenance Co (Hull) Ltd

First of all I’d like to say a huge thank you for the support that you gave me to enable me to assist in making such a difference on this great charity tour in Pattaya, Thailand on behalf of ‘Life for a Kid’ and the ‘Father Ray Foundation’. What an eye opening, amazing and very worthwhile trip it was. Please know that your generosity has benefitted both these charities in the amazing work that they do with so many children.

There were several amazing things about the tour, but beating the Australian All Stars 20-8 and visiting the Orphanage was by far the 2 highlights. Seeing and spending the day with some of the children in the orphanage was such humbling, thought provoking and immensely proud experience. They have nothing in their lives that we take for granted everyday, but they were all so happy, playful and grateful for us being there, and the help and future opportunity that we’ve giving to them.
The above is the picture after the game against the Aussies that we played in a very humid 32° heat, which in itself proved a new experience. But all that didn’t matter as we got the win. Great Britain 1, Australia 0. The below picture shows the game day vest with your logo on it, a few of the Super League, NRL and International legends I got to play alongside and be coached by; Jason Smith, Richard Swain, Gareth Ellis, Keith Senior, Lee Gilmour and Andy Gregory.
The below picture was taken during our visit to the Father Ray Foundation presenting them with 500,000 baht, equivalent to just over £11,000.
Overall the tour was a huge success for the charities and also rugby league in Asia with £20,000 being raised, that was split between the 2 charities. It’s been that successful that they’re touring again in October to benefit another couple of local charities too.
Again, I want to say a very massive and huge grateful thank you for the support you gave to allow me to be part and make the most of this memorable tour. I will be forever grateful for your continued support in my charitable adventures.
